Owned by Snowy Hydro, Red Energy is a 100% Australian owned energy provider, providing electricity and gas to customers in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Queensland (electricity only).

 

Can I earn Qantas Points with Red Energy?

Residential customers in NSW, VIC and SA can earn Qantas Points on their electricity and gas bills with Red Energy, when they pay on time. Residential customers in QLD can earn Qantas Points on their electricity bills with Red Energy, when they pay on time.

 

What can I earn Qantas Points on with Red Energy? 

Red Energy residential customers can earn up to 7 Qantas Points per $1 on every bill paid on time. Whether you’re new to Red Energy or an existing customer of Red Energy, you can choose between the Qantas Red Saver and Qantas Red Plus plans which offer the ability to earn Qantas Points on each bill paid on time.

New Red Energy customers, or existing customers moving house or adding a new site can earn 10,000 bonus Qantas Points for their Electricity contract, and 5,000 bonus Qantas Points for their Gas contract (excludes QLD as Red does not offer gas in QLD).

 

What is the difference between a Qantas Red Saver and a Qantas Red Plus plan?

Red Energy offers two Qantas Points earning plans. You can choose between earning 7 or 2 Qantas Points per $1 on bills paid on time. Plus, if you choose to earn 2 points per $1, you can also benefit from a Pay on Time discount. Click here to find out more.

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can link their existing Red Energy accounts in two easy steps. Choose the right Qantas Points earning plan for you here and then add your Frequent Flyer number to link your accounts.

 

I joined Red Energy without realising I could earn Qantas Points. Am I eligible for the Qantas Points?

Yes, you can change your current plan to a Qantas Points earning plan at any time. To start earning points, choose the right Qantas Points earning plan for you here and then add your Frequent Flyer membership number to link your accounts. However, you won’t be eligible for bonus Qantas Points for your current plan.

 

How do I sign up and earn Qantas Points with Red Energy?

If you’re new to Red Energy or an existing customer moving house or adding a site, visit Red Energy’s website to select the right Qantas Points earning plan for you, provide your Frequent Flyer membership number and Red Energy will take care of the rest.

 

How long does it take for Qantas Points to be credited to my account?

Bonus Qantas Points will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 30 days, once Red Energy becomes responsible for your electricity and/or gas account.

Qantas Points will be earned per $1 on your electricity and/or gas bills, when you pay on time. Your Qantas Points will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 30 days of you paying your bill on time. If your points have not been credited, when you think should be, contact Red Energy.

 

If I use a Qantas Points earning credit card to pay for my bill, will I still earn Qantas Points from Red Energy?

Yes, if you're using a Qantas Points earning credit card, you will earn Qantas Points as you usually would with that credit card plus the points for your energy bill.

 

Do I still earn Qantas Points if I pay my bill after the due date?

No, your energy bill must be paid on time to earn Qantas Points.
