Qantas Frequent Flyer Points Accelerator - FAQ's

Q1: Do I need to take up all 5 Qantas Accelerator products to earn bonus points? 
A: No, you can take up one or more eligible Qantas Accelerator product (in any order). However, the more products you take up, the more bonus points you’ll earn (up to 20,000 max)! Please note, bonus points will only be paid once per eligible Qantas Accelerator product (eg. If a member spends AU$1,000 with Qantas Hotels, eligible flight points will only be multiplied once).

Q2: Do I need to take out Qantas Accelerator products in a certain order? 
A: No, you can take up any of the eligible products or any combination of them in any order you choose.

Q3: I’ve taken out at least one eligible Qantas Accelerator product, when will the bonus points appear in my Qantas Frequent Flyer account? 
A: Bonus points earned as part of this promotion will be credited to your account by 17 August 2018.

Q4: What can I do with 20,000 bonus points? 
A: You can use the bonus points for whatever you please. If you would like to redeem the points for flights, 20,000 points is enough for a return Economy ticket for one person from Sydney to Hamilton Island (on Jetstar) plus taxes, fees and carrier charges of $103.57. 20,000 points plus taxes, fees and carrier charges of $169.00 is also enough to book a return Economy tickets from Sydney to Lord Howe Island (on Qantas). Q5: I have multiple flights booked that will be taken between 2 March to 30 June 2018, will they all be eligible for the campaign?
A: Yes, as your flights will be taken during the Promotion Period and multiple flights are  eligible for the Qantas Accelerator campaign providing they are Qantas marketed flights (with a QF flight number on the ticket where Qantas Points are normally earned) they they will be eligible for the campaign.The standard Qantas Points earned across eligible flights will be multiplied by the number of eligible Qantas Accelerator products taken out during the Promotion Period to determine the bonus points that will be awarded (up to a maximum of 20,000).

Q6: After receiving the offer email, I booked an additional flight that will be taken during the Promotion Period. Will this additional flight also be eligible for the offer?
A: Yes, eligible flights (with a QF flight number on the ticket where Qantas Points are normally earned) booked and taken during the Promotion Period are eligible for the Qantas Accelerator campaign when you take up any Points Accelerator product (up to a maximum of 20,000 bonus points). 

Q7: If I cancel my upcoming flight/s before 30 June 2018, will I still be eligible for the offer?
A: No, if you cancel your eligible flight/s on or before 30 June 2018 the Qantas Accelerator campaign will not apply.

Q8: I received the offer email from a friend. Am I still eligible for the offer?
A: Unless you were specifically targeted for this offer and received an email directly from Qantas, you will not be eligible to receive bonus points for this offer.

Q9: If I take out two Qantas Assure Life Protect insurance policies during the Promotion Period, does this mean my standard Qantas Points will be multiplied by 2 times?
A: No, bonus points will be awarded once per eligible Qantas Accelerator product only.

Q10: I’ve loaded / transferred over AU$5,000 equivalent directly in foreign currency with Qantas Cash during the Promotion Period and thus loaded double the minimum amount of AU$2,500. Does this mean my standard Qantas Points will be multiplied by 2?
A: No, bonus points will be awarded once per eligible Qantas Accelerator product only.

Q11: I’ve spent over AU$1,000 on Qantas epiQure / Qantas Hotels during the Promotion Period and thus spent double the minimum spend of AU$500, does this mean my standard Qantas Points will be multiplied by 2?
A: No, bonus points will be awarded once per eligible Qantas Accelerator product only.

Q12: If my hotel stay extends beyond 30 June 2018, am I still eligible for the offer?
A: As long as the first day of your hotel stay commences on or before 30 June 2018, you will be eligible for the offer.

Q13: For Qantas Hotels, Qantas epiQure and Qantas Cash: do I need to meet the minimum spend/load/transfer amount in a single transaction to be eligible for the bonus offer?
A: No, multiple transactions during the Promotion Period are permitted and will be aggregated to determine whether you’ve met the minimum spend criteria for each product to be eligible for this bonus offer. 

Q14: I applied for a Qantas Premier Platinum credit card before 30 June 2018 but did not receive approval until after 30 June 2018, am I still eligible for the offer?
A: No, unfortunately you must apply and be approved for the Qantas Premier Platinum credit card by 30 June 2018 to be eligible for the offer. 

Q15: If I take out an eligible Qantas Accelerator product during the Promotion Period but then had to cancel it, will I still be awarded bonus points? 
A: This bonus offer will not apply for eligible Qantas Accelerator product/s that are cancelled before 31 July 2018.
